180 degree rule

The 180 degree rule is the rule that indicates that if you go over a 180 degree line you start to confuse the audience making it seem as if the characters have swapped positions. The one way in which it is possible cross the line is if you cross it slowly while rolling the camera to let the audience know the camera is on the opposite side. Below there is a short film clip demonstrating this rule.
